The sieves are placed one above the other and hazelnuts or almonds or walnuts are poured in and shaken – the largest holes go on top and the smallest on the bottom. The hazelnuts fall through the sieves. Then the top sieve is taken and shaken again, and everything that is left in it is poured into containers for that caliber. Then the second sieve is taken and the process is repeated.
